You can go with a pink card, Girl Power, use the infamous pink ribbon symbol, etc. But we want to worship those ladies that are fighting (or have fought) for their lives."
Okay, So!! I want to be the rebel of the group. YES! this hop was in anticipation of October's Breast Cancer Awareness month. But did YOU!!! know? That September features a day for OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS? Just one day?! And Breast Cancer gets ONE WHOLE MONTH!!! So the inner rebel in me says... I am going to make sure you hear it for the girls with OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS!!!
I used the flower icon from the Bombshell Angel set, and the Letters from Tattoo Font set to create this card for a very VERY special woman in my life. My Aunt Marie. She is on her second time battling Ovarian Cancer and shes kicking its tail!!! She is a true Bombshell, I am so thankful to have her in mine and Diem's lives. I mean she IS where Diem gets her middle name from!! :)
Here are some facts about Ovarian Cancer that EVERY woman needs to know. Please check it out before hopping to the next blog of, ::

While the ninth most common cancer among women, ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death among women, and is the deadliest of gynecologic cancers. Mortality rates are slightly higher for Caucasian women than for African-American women.
A Woman’s Lifetime Risk:

Please click on the stats chart to read more information. Ovarian Cancer is a silent killer, and can be prevented!!!!
Now, not to be a Debby Downer, I just felt that Ovarian Cancer needed its time to shine as its awareness date IS September!!! BE A SUPPORTER WEAR TEAL! AND WEAR IT OFTEN! I DO! I wear a teal bracelet everyday in honor of Marie!!!

Oh this is great! I like how you were able to use the small icons to make one large image. It shows variety!! You added a lot of texture with this too; nicely done!
Very clever use of the stamp Emily!
Love the use of that flower stamp! Thank you for such an informative post too! Sending healing thoughts to Marie!
What a great way to use that flower. Here's to your Aunt Marie! I like that you were a bit of a rebel this month.

Great project! I like your twist on the "girls" part of the challenge...ovarian cancer only strikes girls, so you weren't a very bit rebel! ;)

Thank you for sharing your story. Your card is beautiful. Will be keeping her in my thoughts & prayers. :)
THANK YOU for drawing attention to ovarian cancer. My grandmother died of cervical cancer (which also spread to her ovaries) and I can't believe that it doesn't get more attention!
